TA551 / Engineering Blog

Engineering systems that are observable, secure, and useful.

Practical writing about Linux and web infrastructure, cybersecurity labs, local AI, and automation—with constraints and evidence stated clearly.

Engineering articles

Every article starts with an engineering problem, not a generic tutorial. I describe the environment, the implementation decisions, and the checks that support the outcome. When a test uses synthetic data, or a prototype still depends on manual operation, I state those limitations instead of presenting a lab result as a production guarantee.

Topics include Wazuh SIEM and OpenSearch pagination, Linux and web-server operations, local language models such as Qwen, and Python automation. The published Wazuh SOC case study links to supporting GitHub evidence. New notes are added only after a practical review; unfinished drafts are not publicly listed.
